Denza Hidden Perimeter Boot Light

Transform the dark factory boot area with a hidden perimeter lighting system designed for the Denza B5 and B8.


The LED strip installs discreetly alongside the boot weather seal, creating an even loop of light around the cargo area while keeping the light source itself hidden from normal view.

A plug-and-play Y-splitter harness connects directly to the vehicle's original boot-light circuit, allowing both the factory boot light and the new LED strip to operate together.

No cutting, splicing or soldering of the vehicle's factory wiring, and no coding required.

How It Works

The supplied Y-splitter connects between the vehicle's factory boot-light wiring and the original boot lamp.

One output retains the original boot light, while the second powers the new perimeter lighting.

The LED strip connector is routed behind the nearby trim using the supplied pull-through guide wire, then connected to the Y-splitter behind the factory boot-light opening.

Once installed, opening the boot activates both the original lamp and the perimeter lighting automatically. The perimeter light first performs its welcome animation before smoothly reaching full brightness.


Installation

Approximate installation time: 20–30 minutes

The electrical connection and cable routing are straightforward and typically take only a few minutes. The most time-consuming step is usually carefully removing the tightly clipped factory boot light and neatly installing the LED strip around the boot perimeter.

Installation overview

  1. Carefully pry out the factory boot light using the included trim-removal tool.
  2. Feed the included pull-through guide wire through the nearby trim/weather-seal gap.
  3. Route it around ~20 cm until it comes out through the factory boot-light opening.
  4. Use the included PVC tape to attach the LED strip connector to the guide wire.
  5. Pull it through so the LED connector comes out at the boot-light opening.
  6. Connect LED strip to one Y-splitter output.
  7. Connect original boot light to the other Y-splitter output.
  8. Connect the car's original boot-light plug to the Y-splitter input.
  9. Test everything.
  10. Tuck splitter/cables away and reinstall factory boot light.
  11. Tuck the silicone LED strip around the boot perimeter beside the weather seal.
  12. Trim the excess lighting to the required length
  13. Fit the supplied silicone end cap securely over the trimmed end.
  14. Check everything sits neatly and the weather seal is still positioned normally.

Important: The factory boot-light clips can be very tight. Take your time during removal and avoid excessive force to prevent damaging the lamp housing or surrounding trim.
